And what I can contribute is my respect for the clarification of quartiles of the Journal Citation Reports and the scientific community. All the publishers I have mentioned have many journals indexed in JCR.
I do not think we should pay attention to subjective opinions of any experience of any researcher. I have lived the experience of rejection of articles in MDPI journals and with the same articles acceptance in journals of elsevier, taylor and francis, Springer, sage or wiley and vice versa. MDPI was included on Jeffrey Beall's list of predatory open access publishingcompanies in 2014 but was removed in 2015 following a successful appeal,as can be read on wikipedia.I have published with publishers such as Elsevier, Springer, Wiley, Sage, Taylor and Francis, MDPI, among others.
